পবিত্র কোরআনে এর সুরা আল-ক্বামার-এর প্রথম আয়াত ইসলামের ইতিহাসে সবচেয়ে আলোচিত আয়াতগুলোর একটি। আয়াতটি হলো:

اقْتَرَبَتِ السَّاعَةُ وَانشَقَّ الْقَمَرُ
“কিয়ামত নিকটবর্তী হয়েছে এবং চাঁদ বিদীর্ণ হয়েছে।”
— সূরা ক্বামার, আয়াত ১

এই আয়াতকে কেন্দ্র করে দীর্ঘদিন ধরে দুটি বড় ব্যাখ্যা প্রচলিত রয়েছে। একদল মনে করেন, নবীজি হযরত মুহাম্মদ (সাঃ)–এর ইশারায় আল্লাহর ইচ্ছায় চাঁদ বাস্তবে দ্বিখণ্ডিত হয়েছিল। অন্যদিকে কিছু গবেষক মনে করেন, এটি কিয়ামতের ভবিষ্যৎ মহাজাগতিক ঘটনার বর্ণনা অথবা প্রতীকী ভাষা।

আধুনিক বিজ্ঞান, ভাষাগত বিশ্লেষণ ও পরবর্তী আয়াতগুলোর আলোকে বিষয়টি বিশ্লেষণ করলে আলোচনাটি আরও গভীর হয়।

প্রচলিত ইসলামী ব্যাখ্যা: চাঁদ দ্বিখণ্ডন ছিল একটি মুজিজা

প্রচলিত তাফসির ও বহু হাদিস অনুযায়ী, মক্কার অবিশ্বাসীরা নবীজির কাছে অলৌকিক নিদর্শন দাবি করেছিল। তখন আল্লাহর ইচ্ছায় চাঁদ দ্বিখণ্ডিত হয় এবং তারা তা প্রত্যক্ষ করে। কিন্তু এরপরও তারা সেটিকে “জাদু” বলে অস্বীকার করে।

এই ব্যাখ্যার পক্ষে সূরা ক্বামারের পরবর্তী আয়াতগুলো উল্লেখ করা হয়।

দ্বিতীয় আয়াতে বলা হয়েছে:

وَإِن يَرَوْا آيَةً يُعْرِضُوا وَيَقُولُوا سِحْرٌ مُّسْتَمِرٌ
“তারা কোনো নিদর্শন দেখলেও মুখ ফিরিয়ে নেয় এবং বলে—এ তো চলমান জাদু।”
— (৫৪:২)

তৃতীয় আয়াতে বলা হয়েছে:

وَكَذَّبُوا وَاتَّبَعُوا أَهْوَاءَهُمْ
“তারা মিথ্যা আরোপ করেছে এবং নিজেদের প্রবৃত্তির অনুসরণ করেছে।”
— (৫৪:৩)

প্রচলিত ব্যাখ্যায় বলা হয়, এই “জাদু” মন্তব্যটি চাঁদ দ্বিখণ্ডনের ঘটনাকেই নির্দেশ করছে।

ভাষাগত ও প্রসঙ্গগত আরেকটি ব্যাখ্যা

তবে কিছু আধুনিক গবেষক ও কুরআন বিশ্লেষক মনে করেন, এখানে সরাসরি অতীতে ঘটে যাওয়া কোনো ঘটনার কথা বলা নাও হতে পারে। বরং এটি কিয়ামতের ভবিষ্যৎ দৃশ্যের বর্ণনা হতে পারে।

কারণ আয়াতটি শুরুই হয়েছে:

“কিয়ামত নিকটবর্তী হয়েছে…”

অর্থাৎ পুরো প্রসঙ্গটি শেষ সময়, বিচার ও মহাজাগতিক বিপর্যয়কে কেন্দ্র করে।

কুরআনের অন্যান্য সূরাতেও কিয়ামতের সময় সূর্য, চাঁদ ও আকাশের ভেঙে পড়ার বর্ণনা রয়েছে। যেমন:

  • সূরা আত-তাকবীর – সূর্য নিভে যাবে
  • সূরা আল-ইনশিকাক – আকাশ বিদীর্ণ হবে,
  • সূরা যিলযাল – পৃথিবী প্রচণ্ডভাবে কেঁপে উঠবে।

সেই ধারাবাহিকতায় “চাঁদ বিদীর্ণ হয়েছে”–কেও কিয়ামতের ভবিষ্যৎ ঘটনার ভাষা হিসেবে দেখা যায়।

আরবি ভাষায় ভবিষ্যতের নিশ্চিত ঘটনাকে অতীত কালে প্রকাশ করার রীতি রয়েছে। অর্থাৎ কোনো ঘটনা নিশ্চিতভাবেই ঘটবে বোঝাতে অতীত কাল ব্যবহার করা হয়। সেই হিসেবে:

“চাঁদ বিদীর্ণ হয়েছে”
মানে হতে পারে
“চাঁদ অবশ্যই বিদীর্ণ হবে।”

বৈজ্ঞানিক দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি কী বলে?

আধুনিক জ্যোতির্বিজ্ঞান অনুযায়ী, যদি পুরো চাঁদ সত্যিই দুই ভাগ হয়ে আবার জোড়া লাগতো, তাহলে তার বিশাল প্রভাব পড়্তো। যেমনঃ

  • পৃথিবীর জোয়ার-ভাটায় অস্বাভাবিক পরিবর্তন হতো
  • চাঁদের কক্ষপথ অস্থিতিশীল হয়ে যেতো
  • পৃথিবীর বহু সভ্যতার ইতিহাসে ঘটনাটির উল্লেখ থাকতো
  • জ্যোতির্বৈজ্ঞানিকভাবে স্পষ্ট চিহ্ন পাওয়া যেত।

কিন্তু আধুনিক বিজ্ঞান এখন পর্যন্ত এমন কোনো নির্ভরযোগ্য প্রমাণ পায়নি যে চাঁদ একসময় সম্পূর্ণ দ্বিখণ্ডিত হয়ে পুনরায় যুক্ত হয়েছিলো।

এই কারণেই কিছু মুসলিম গবেষক আয়াতটিকে আক্ষরিকভাবে না দেখে প্রতীকী বা ভবিষ্যদ্বাণীমূলক ভাষা হিসেবে ব্যাখ্যা করেন।

নাসা কি চাঁদ দ্বিখণ্ডনের প্রমাণ দিয়েছে?

ইন্টারনেটে বহুল প্রচলিত একটি দাবি হলো নাসা (NASA) নাকি চাঁদ দ্বিখণ্ডনের বৈজ্ঞানিক প্রমাণ পেয়েছে।

বাস্তবে বিষয়টি সঠিক নয়।

চাঁদে কিছু দীর্ঘ ফাটলসদৃশ গঠন রয়েছে, যেগুলোকে “Rilles” বা ভূতাত্ত্বিক ফাটল বলা হয়। এগুলো চাঁদের অভ্যন্তরীণ পরিবর্তন, আগ্নেয়গিরিমূলক ক্রিয়া ও ভূতাত্ত্বিক চাপের কারণে সৃষ্টি হয়েছে বলে বিজ্ঞানীরা মনে করেন।

নাসা কখনো আনুষ্ঠানিকভাবে বলেনি যে সূরা ক্বামারের আয়াত বৈজ্ঞানিকভাবে প্রমাণিত হয়েছে।

তাহলে আয়াতটির প্রকৃত বার্তা কী?

পরবর্তী আয়াতগুলো গভীরভাবে পড়লে বোঝা যায়, সূরাটির মূল উদ্দেশ্য কেবল কোনো অলৌকিক ঘটনার বিবরণ দেওয়া নয়। বরং এখানে মানুষের অস্বীকার প্রবণতা, অহংকার এবং সত্যকে প্রত্যাখ্যান করার মানসিকতা তুলে ধরা হয়েছে।

মানুষ নিদর্শন দেখেও বলে:

“এ তো জাদু।”

অর্থাৎ সত্যের সামনে দাঁড়িয়েও অনেকে তা অস্বীকার করে, নিজেদের প্রবৃত্তি ও বিশ্বাস আঁকড়ে ধরে থাকে। সূরাটি সেই মনস্তত্ত্বকেই তুলে ধরেছে।

উপসংহার

সূরা ক্বামারের প্রথম আয়াত ইসলামী ইতিহাসে গভীর তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ একটি আয়াত। প্রচলিত বিশ্বাস অনুযায়ী এটি নবীজির একটি অলৌকিক মুজিজার বর্ণনা। অন্যদিকে ভাষাগত, প্রসঙ্গগত ও বৈজ্ঞানিক বিশ্লেষণে কিছু গবেষক এটিকে কিয়ামতের ভবিষ্যৎ মহাজাগতিক ঘটনার ভাষা হিসেবে দেখেন।

তবে যে ব্যাখ্যাই গ্রহণ করা হোক, একটি বিষয় স্পষ্ট—এই আয়াতের মূল উদ্দেশ্য মানুষকে সতর্ক করা, কিয়ামতের বাস্তবতা স্মরণ করিয়ে দেওয়া এবং সত্যের প্রতি মানুষের অস্বীকার করার মনোভাব তুলে ধরা।

অর্থাৎ, আলোচনার কেন্দ্রবিন্দু শুধু “চাঁদ ফেটেছিল কি না” সেটা নয়; বরং মানুষ সত্য ও সতর্কবার্তার প্রতি কীভাবে প্রতিক্রিয়া জানায়, সেটিও এই সূরার গুরুত্বপূর্ণ শিক্ষা।
